About this puja
Navagraha shanti puja is done to remove planetary doshas in the kundli. If any of the nine planets — Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu — has an unfavourable influence, life can bring obstacles, illness or money troubles. Each planet is worshipped with its own colour, grain, flowers and mantras. Navagraha homa, graha mantra jap and the Navagraha stotra are the main parts. It is especially beneficial for Shani sadesati, the Rahu–Ketu mahadasha and mangal dosha, and is done with the homa of the specific planet as advised by the astrologer.
