From Ghatasthapana to Visarjan — nine days of Devi puja
₹5,000 – ₹20,000
9 days
About this puja
Navratri includes ghatasthapana, nine days of worship of the Goddess, and visarjan on the tenth day. Navratri comes twice a year — in Chaitra and Ashwin — and each day one form of the Goddess is worshipped. In ghatasthapana, soil, sprouting wheat (javare) and a kalash are installed. Fasting, bhajans, aarti and jagaran are part of the tradition, and on Dussehra people cross the boundary (simollanghan) and share shami leaves.
