Rudrabhishek is the abhishek most dear to Lord Shiva, especially rewarding in Shravan, on Mahashivratri and on Mondays. The main rites are panchamrit, water and milk abhishek, offering bilva leaves and reciting the Rudrashtadhyayi, along with the Ekadash Rudra, the names of the twelve jyotirlingas and the Shivashtak. Those troubled by constant illness, mental distress or Shani sadesati should perform it, and it is a very effective remedy for Kaal Sarp dosha.
