About this puja
When a person completes 60 years — one full cycle of the 60 samvatsaras — the Ugraratha Shanti or Shashtyabdapurti is done: Navagraha puja, the Ayushya Sukta, Mrityunjaya japa, havan and a renewed auspicious ceremony for husband and wife (kalash abhishek), with children and grandchildren seeking their blessings. Bhimaratha Shanti at 75 and Sahasrachandradarshan Shanti at 81 can also be arranged.
