Meaning

This Marathi aarti by Samarth Ramdas Swami describes Hanuman's immense power; it is sung on Saturdays and Tuesdays and on Hanuman Jayanti.

1. When Hanuman leapt with full force and roared, the earth, the waters of the ocean and the sky all shook. The universe cracked, the three worlds trembled, and gods, men and demons fled.

Refrain: Victory to you, Hanuman. By your grace I do not fear death.

2. The underworlds thundered and the echo rose. Shesha, who holds up the earth, shook and grieved. Mountains split and the clusters of stars scattered. Ramdas says: the source of this strength is found in Rama.
