Aarti Kije Hanuman Lala Ki
Hindi aarti of Hanuman
Original text
The sacred text is kept in its original language.
Meaning
This traditional Hindi aarti is sung on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Hanuman Jayanti, usually after the Hanuman Chalisa.
Refrain: Perform the aarti of dear Hanuman, destroyer of the wicked and the power of Shri Rama.
1. By his strength the great mountains tremble, and disease and misfortune do not come near him. Son of Anjani, giver of great strength, always the helper of the saints.
2. Rama sent him with the betel leaf of a sacred task; he burnt Lanka and brought news of Sita. Though Lanka had walls like a fortress and a moat like the ocean, the son of the wind took no time at all.
3. He burnt Lanka, destroyed the demons and fulfilled the work of Sita and Rama. When Lakshmana lay unconscious, he brought the sanjivani herb before dawn and saved his life.
4. He entered the underworld, broke the demon guards and tore off the arms of Ahiravana. With his left arm he struck down the demon army, and with his right he saved the saints.
5. Gods, people and sages wave the aarti and cry "Victory to Hanuman". A camphor flame burns on a golden plate as mother Anjana performs the aarti.
6. Whoever sings this aarti of Hanuman dwells in Vaikuntha and attains the highest state.
