Meaning
This aarti is sung after the Satyanarayan puja and the five chapters of the katha. It remembers every devotee from the story.
Refrain: Victory to you, Lord Satyanarayan, husband of Lakshmi, who destroys the sins of the people.
1. Your wonderful form shines on a jewelled throne; Narada performs your aarti as the bells ring.
2. You appeared for the people of the Kali age; taking the form of an old Brahmin, you appeared to a poor Brahmin and turned his home into a golden palace.
3. You blessed the poor woodcutter, and you removed the troubles of King Chandrachud.
4. The merchant's wish came true but he abandoned his faith (forgot his vow); he suffered the result, and then he sang your praises.
5. For the sake of devotion you took form again and again; those who kept their faith had their work fulfilled.
6. The king (Tungadhwaja) worshipped in the forest with the cowherd boys; O merciful Hari, you gave him what he wished for.
7. Prasad in the measure of one and a quarter, bananas and dry fruits are offered; with incense, lamp and tulsi, Satyadev is pleased.
8. Whoever sings this aarti of Satyanarayan gains happiness of body and mind, wealth and the fruit of their wishes.
